Sidebar hogs memory

0

My computer recently was running slow so I viewed applications in Task Manager and found Sidebar using much more than anything else, about 350,000 K. I turned it off, then reloaded it and it is now using only about 23,000 K. My only SB gadgets are Calendar, Clock, Stock Quotes (3), and the CPU and RAM Meters. Any ideas what caused it to run away?

Virtual memory (mere address space) isn't a scarce resource, so there's no reason you should care about this. – David Schwartz – 2012-12-11T01:02:27.020
