Access 2003 - SQL Project is not connected to a SQL Database

0

I believe there is something wrong with Access 2003 on a machine I rebuilt, possibly a missing component. There is an Access database that we use that connects to an SQL database, normally I just run an executable folder and then run the shortcut which loads the frontend of the database. Ever since I've rebuilt the machine I keep getting the following error :

"Access was not able to perform this operation because
the project is not connected to a SQL server Database"

Hopefully someone can help explain what is wrong?

To a .ade file in Program Files. There's not a problem with the shortcut because it works absolutely fine on a different PC. – Kevin Dodd – 2012-12-02T13:34:42.883

I don't think so, you don't normally need to change the permissions when installing it. I did add domain users with modify permissions though as i thought the same thing – Kevin Dodd – 2012-12-02T13:42:47.960
