When using Adobe's programs (Flash for example) to convert WAV audio to MP3 there is no silent gap added to the beginning of the MP3 file like it is when I for example use LAME (when using LAME a 10-50ms silence is added to the MP3).
Does anyone know the trick Adobe has up their sleeve to not add silence in WAV->MP3 conversions?
Also does anyone have any tip about programs that I can use to convert WAV to MP3 that doesn't use the LAME library? Windows command-line programs, please.

Are you using the same encoding settings (bit rate, etc.) when creating, and the same player when comparing the MP3s? – Ƭᴇcʜιᴇ007 – 2012-03-14T23:49:47.623
Yep, I am. It's strange I can't find much debate online about this problem with MP3. I sure would like to know what Adobe does to get it to work. – Niklas – 2012-03-15T12:41:23.853
