Is that possible to install both version in same machine?
I want try the 10bit x264 but It's only possible when I remove/replace the 8bit x264 version.
I don't know how to install both in same machine

1We need more info. What platform are you on? How are you installing the encoder? (linux package? if so, which type and repository? windows installer? if so, where'd you get it? build from source?). – jcrawfordor – 2011-08-23T14:56:31.630
I'm using Centos 5.6, yes, It's linux package and for 8bit I installed from rpmforge using yum and for 10bit I build it using rpmbuild using src from rpmforge too. – x264 fans – 2011-08-23T16:01:45.573
I think yum let's you install software in your home directory, perhaps you could install one version there and the other globally. Then
LD_LIBRARY_PATH
or similar could let you load the variant you want. – Eroen – 2012-09-23T15:15:21.467
