According to Microsoft, when i plug in my controller via usb, it should set everything up and install drivers out of the box.
When i connect my Xbox360 controller to my laptop, i don't even receive a popup notification that Windows setups my controller. What could be the cause of this?

It may be normal to not have the sound. That handle seems to be treated specially by Windows 10. But you can see it in Device Manager. If not maybe it is aborbed by a running VM. – jw_ – 2020-02-26T14:07:12.180
