I have a Linux computer behind a complicated university network that I'd like to access remotely, for which Chrome Remote Desktop works just fine.
However, I don't want to use the remote computer graphically. I only need terminal access. I could just open a terminal and that'd be that, but I don't want to be at the mercy of the sometimes flaky GUI with login loops and blank screens.
Is it possible to piggyback on the Chrome Remote Desktop functionality, but control the remote entirely through my local terminal, a la SSH (but without the complications of SSH)?
