Using CMU font in MS Word

Question

I have already successfully installed the CMU fonts for my computer, even for use outside LaTeX, e.g. in MS Word. I am trying to typeset polytonic Greek (letters like ἄ, ᾖ, ...) but whenever I do, the font switches to Times New Roman. This does not happen in LaTeX, only in MS Word and the likes. Does someone know how to use the CMU fonts even with polytonic Greek outside LaTeX?
