I am using Fedora 31. I am trying to update firmware using:
ls /sys/firmware/efi
However my bios is at legacy. Will it or will it not affect my partition if I change my bios from legacy to UEFI?
If yes why and if no why not?

Creating and managing/modifying the EFI system partition is AFAIK the job of the OS (respectively the OS installer) not of the UEFI firmware. The firmware just uses what is there (and by be writes some log/error files onto it). – Robert – 2020-01-28T10:53:57.250
