After upgrading to Ubuntu 19.10 I am facing too much lag during file transfer or other HDD activity like (Running VMs)

I searched the internet and found that some people suggested to upgrade to Kernel 5.4. Therefore I installed the kernel 5.4. But it didn't work.
Please help me how to fix it.
