Criteria for a Quarantine Folder under Microsoft Windows

I have read everything on StackOverflow and on SuperUser concerning my title but nothing seems to match.

What I want to do is to create a folder under Microsoft Windows which has the criteria of a quarantine folder if such criteria exist. I have a lot to do with malware analysis in the context of my forensic activities and sometimes need and want to be anti-malware product-independent and to be as "raw" as possible for both a live and a post-mortem analysis.

So here my questions:

  1. Are there specific attributes I should set this folder to (archive, hidden, system, read-only, compressed etc.)?
  2. Should I hide this folder (beyond the above-mentioned "hidden" attribute)?
  3. Should I live-encrypt and -decrypt the folder for access?
