FFmpeg Formatting for DLNA?

0

I've been having some issues with DLNA on my Visio E32-C1 TV.

I'm running a miniDLNA server from my basement which works well for the TV. However, some shows that I want to watch must have some non standard formatting since the TV won't play those files.

The TV plays standard H.264 video with AAC audio, but I can't seem to find the ffmpeg commands to do this.

At first I though it must be: ffmpeg -i X.mkv -vcodec libx264 -acodec aac X.mp4, however, this doesn't give a playable file when I moved it to the server.

Just to check, I reset the service and restarted the TV, but no luck.

What would the correct formatting be to play this on this tv over DLNA?

1There are many ways of encoding H264 with different levels, color formats and whatnot. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to find some specs for your TV. Otherwise, you can only do trial and error. – Daniel B – 2019-12-20T22:34:57.447
