Chrome desktop does not save password after old password removed in settings

1

Previously I had removed saved password of a website in the chrome settings. Now, each time that I login to that site, chrome does not offer to save the password, so I have to repeat entering the credentials again and again, which is a pain in the neck.

How can I fix it?

If it is on android, you must go to settings again, and manually save the passwords, (don't worry, it's only one time! After this you will login automatically each time you visit the website.)

Step 1: Once you've launched Chrome, select 'Settings' in the menu.

Step 2: Scroll all the way down and click 'Advanced'.

Step 3: Once you see the 'Passwords and Forms' section, click on 'Manage Passwords'.

Step 4: At the top of the page, you'll see 'Offer to Save Passwords'. Make sure that is turned on. Now you’ll be prompted to save the passwords every time you log in a website with your account and passwords.

If it works, great!

Thanks but I'm on Ubuntu desktop, and could not find such option to add site credentials manually. – Milkyway – 2019-12-08T11:24:17.113

@Milkyway - You made no mention of the fact your OS is Ubuntu in the question. Questions should have all relevant information. – Ramhound – 2019-12-08T19:41:42.277
