In earlier version of Windows/Word it was possible to get a desktop icon to not only open the application, but also to open the first file in its list of recently accessed file. This was done by putting a specific switch in the Target field after the Applications program name. Eg: "Winword.exe" switch It has been some years since I used this but is very useful when you are frequently updating a document. Unfortunately, I have forgotten what the switch was. Can anybody help?
