Accessing local user account on windows 7

0

I have a windows 7 dell laptop that was provided to me by the company I work for. Recently, they upgraded me with another laptop and gave me the old one to use it personally. They disconnected this laptop from the domain server so I'm won't be able to login to the server from this laptop again. The problem is that I'm trying to access the local user account to start using windows normally but with no luck. I boot the computer and it takes me to the domain user asking for domain credentials not showing any other sign in method to a local user.

Things to mention:

  • Bios is locked with a password no changes can be made.
  • Cannot access safe mode which should be F8.
  • Tried to use password recovery tool since that I have the option create a local user through it but it didn't work. The error shown was " System directory not found"
  • Tried to enter ./admin to access administrator account or at least know the existing user name with no luck. everything returns an invalid user name and password.

Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

2How about asking your company's IT what the logon credentials are? Certainly that's no trouble since they want you to have the laptop. – I say Reinstate Monica – 2019-11-08T18:29:25.220

Removing the BIOS password should be trivial : link.
