Win 7 Pro 64 trying to play 2 sound cards at once

0

This is my problem: I have 2 audio amplifiers that I use in tandem by splicing the line output signal of one sound card so it feeds into both amplifiers at the same time and that works fine except one of the amplifiers is a 2-channel (stereo) unit but my other amplifier is a 4-channel (1970's Quadraphonic technology) and it needs a 4-channel source so, currently, I'm stuck with using it as a stereo receiver instead of as a quadraphonic receiver (the units are in separate rooms).

What I want is to put a 2nd sound card I have that provides a 4-channel output along with the one you installed and have them both play the same music/song at the same time while their line outputs (individually) feed into their respective audio amplifiers: the sound card you installed feeding my stereo amp and the new 4-channel sound card feeding the quad amp.

Did I explain my needs correctly?

Wouldn't it be simpler to use an audio splitter? – harrymc – 2019-11-07T16:44:27.457
