So I have installed CentOS 6.10 minimal.iso
for x64 bit system from their website and I have been trying all the morning to install it along Ubuntu which is already installed on a different partition, but had no luck. It gives me an error that says:
you haven't created a /boot/efi partition
I followed the suggestions in this link,
but couldn't figure out how I should create the EFI directory - I feel like it may make a difference...
The things I have tried:
Created a FE00 partition, formatted it as FAT32 and gave it a label of EFI. I have done that through gdisk from an UBUNTU live DVD. And through CentOS installer tried to mount that partion to
/boot/efi
, but it didn't work, too.Created an EFI system partition from the CentOS installer and used VFAT as the filesystem type as some post that I found on the internet suggested, and mounted it to
/boot/efi
- without luck.
it keeps giving me the same error:
you haven't created a /boot/efi partition
This is a screenshot of my partitions as listed on gparted
:
I will be so grateful if someone can help me figure it out.
