utf-8 content go through yahoo smtp become question marks

0

When I use thunderbird or other email client to send utf-8 email through yahoo smtp, it will become unreadable contents full of question marks. This only happens to yahoo server. I believe the yahoo server somehow handle utf-8 wrong. Is there any way to report this to yahoo or any workaround or configs I can do on the yahoo setting?

info@yahoo.de? just look at their website. Use a differnt encoding (e.g. ASCII) as a work around. I remember UTF-8 being a problem with subject lines on some mail servers due to "old linux server components" that still didn't know handle UTF-8 and didn't want anything but ASCII. But I fear there's nothing else you could do, this would be caused by a server setting/component not a user setting. – Albin – 2019-10-19T08:32:54.523
