Google calendars not retrieving events from sabredav server

Question

I reciently tried to sync a calendar made in an implementation of a sabre caldav server with google calendars, I can accesss the event files with no issue on the url of the currently logged user. Upon synching, however, I see no events added to my google calendar. At first I thought the ics files for the events may not have been properly created but after downloading and manually importing them into google calendars they get displayed correctly. The url I am setting on the add calendar by url on google calendars is something like this:

[domain]/calendarserver/calendars/[user email]/[calendar name]

I also tried

https://[domain]/calendarserver/calendars/[user email]/[calendar name]?format=ical

to no avail. Is there anything I am missing in the setup to synch my calendar? I can access the sabredav control panel and access the url that contains my event data with no issue yet it appears google can't find my calendar events. Is there anything else I need to setup or am I using the wrong url or url format? The sabre documentation includes next to nothing on synching with google calendars and any leads on this would be greatly appreciated.
