How can I use the results of SpamCop in Thunderbird by SpamAssassin?

In the past I used gmx.de, a Web-email-provider in germany, only. But I got many spam mails, so started to fight against it by reporting it to SpamCop. First I had to learn is, that gmx.de does not provide the email in a format so that SpamCop can process it. So I started Thunderbird and using IMAP. This offers me the possibility to view and copy the source text of the emails so I can send them to SpamCop. This works good.

What I do not understand completely: Thunderbird offers a feature to trust the Junk-Headlines of external filters like SpamAssassin. I choosed this and installed SpamAssassin like described in the Wiki of Archlinux(I use Manjaro) but it seems that SpamAssassin never sees any of these emails fetched by Thunderbird, there is no X-Spam entry in these emails.

So my question is: How must I configure this system to work together? And at the end: How must I configure SpamAssassin to take the results of SpamCop to become better and better on the long run?
