Why is my azure pipelines deploy no longer working?

Question

I have an issue with my azure pipelines project. The deployment was working perfectly fine after my first commit and further on. Until I accidently deployed another project to the same webapp.

I had clicked on deploy on a ASP.Net project in visual studio and selected the same web app as deployment target. I thought I could overwrite this by deleting the release profile in visual studio and making another commit but the Web API is still on my site instead of an index.html.
