When I try to open the "Find in Files" dialog in Visual Studio 2019, the program freezes immediately, then after a few moments Windows reports it as "Not Responding." Eventually Visual Studio will close on it's own and restart.
This happens if I try to open the dialog with the keyboard shortcut (CTRL+SHIFT+F) or through the "Edit" menu. To clarify, this issue happens by simply trying to open the dialog, all other questions I see regarding this are about VS crashing after starting the search operation.
Is this a known issue? I've never had any problems like this with VS so what troubleshooting steps could I try?
