How can you force Chrome to open a new link in tab on your current desktop?

I am using macOS High Sierra and other desktop screen(without mirroring) and I use desktop screen as main screen for any interaction. Both of them have different chrome windows open. The issue is whenever I click on the link from my email or any other application, it always opens in a new tab to mac instead of my main desktop screen. I do not see any settings from 'Displays' or chrome. My chrome version is Version 77.0.3865.90.

It will open in the last-created window. There's no way to change that, short of recreating the windows in reverse order. – Tetsujin – 2019-10-19T11:04:30.877
