I've exported an old Wordpress media library using the built in exporter (tools > export). However, when I import the .XML file to the new wordpress site I recieve a list of "File X" failed to upload "File Y" failed to upload whereas none of them succesfully upload. At the end if the list it says "done, enjoy your import", but doesn't give a specified error.
The cause of the problem is still unclear to me, the size is unlikely to be the problem, I've tried smaller imports (5 years of data - 1 year and even 1 month of data). It's also unlikely to be a server timeout, the import for the 1 month of data costs only a few minutes.
The import exist purely of the media base, so no posts, pages or anything else. Has anyone alse experienced this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
