I could use some assistance. I'm unable to hear audio on my plantronics headset unless the sound settings window is open.

Win 10 audio sound setting window must be open
Is the headset selected as the main sound output device if clicking on the Volume icon in the taskbar? (Either an arrow is shown to the right of the sound device or clicking on the sound output device generates a drop-down when two or more audio devices are connected, but I can't recall which.) – JW0914 – 2019-09-24T13:26:28.567
