Microsoft Azure trying to publish app when following Exercise

Question

I have Visual Studio 2017. I use my email address to publish projects to Team/Git. I also have a outlook account in the cloud. When I try to use Visual Studio to publish the project, it only accepts my Team/GIT password and never publishes the project. When I use a web browser login using the same email address but a different password I am able to go to Microsoft Azure portal. Its as if there are two separate accounts with essentially the same email but different access abilities. The only difference between the emails is one is all lower case and the second has upper case for the first and last name, it also contains my title and phone number. When I tried in Visual Studio to type the upper and lower case, it jut converts it to lower case.
