I am trying to restore the BCD on a VeraCrypt partition system drive. The only way possible is to decrypt the drive in Linux and to run bcdcboot on the partition.
I modify boot PE environment and I have mounted systemdrive from installer using Windows USB. When I mounted the EFI drive and do a bcdboot V:\windows /s e: /uefi
it tells me two errors that mean the drive is on different physical disk.
How is it possible to fix this?
Veracrypt should have encrypted the EFI partition I am not aware of any EFI compatible FDE solutions, that encrypt that particular partition. This is likely a side effect of the fact BCD isn’t aware of how to read a Veracrypt partition. So have you decrypted the drive? – Ramhound – 2019-09-14T23:55:09.957
Yeah, the drive is decrypted and mounted in the PE environment. – user1090187 – 2019-09-15T00:13:14.933
