Hp Pavilion not connecting to Hp photoshop printer

0

I have a HP Photoshop 8150 printer that was connecting to my hp pavilion printer just fine, printed stuff for about a month. Now it says the 3.0 usb is not compatible and it doesn't recognize it when i unplug and plug back in. I tried on a lot of different ways to fix this. I plugged into a older laptop that is updated to windows 10 and had the same problem, i went into the usb drivers and did a rollback and the printer works great! but i need it plugged up to this newer printer. Can anyone tell me what to do to fix this problem? Another forum said to buy a adapter? is this the only way to get it to work?

Are you using a usb 3.0 port on the PC? What make and model of PC is it not working with. – Moab – 2019-09-14T15:48:06.563

The HP Photosmart (not Photoshop) 8150 was first introduced by HP in 2004. The printer should work when connected to a USB 2.0 port. If it doesn't work than the problem could be another (drivers, hardware issues etc.) – spike_66 – 2019-09-15T08:58:32.903
