Windows Showing Up On Different Screen

0

I have a Mac Pro connected to 2 displays and a television (Input 1) and a mac mini connected to a 3rd display and the same television (Input 2).

The issue: I have both inputs for the TV connected, but I usually just use for the mac mini. I open up a window on the Mac Pro and it disappears and ends up on the TV even though its input isn't selected. I have to switch my TV's input back to the Mac Pro, and then drag the windows back to my main display every time this happens. Any ideas on how to either stop the windows from opening on the TV, or a quick way to bring the missing window back without switching the inputs?

Thanks!

Do you have Mission Control set to "Displays have separate Spaces" or not? I'm guessing you do & the 'fix', though needing a change in workflow, is to disable it. Alternatively, set your 'wandering' app to a Space you don't use on the 3rd screen. – Tetsujin – 2019-09-06T07:39:13.300
