MS Word: New Table Rows Copying Formatting from Other Rows

0

When I add a new row to an existing table, the formatting for each cell of that new row is being copied from the row above.

For example: I start with a 2x2 table, the top row has special formatting in its cells, the bottom row does not. Like this:

Italic Bold
Plain Plain

Then I add two new rows under each other those and start typing in them. I'm not pasting text in, just clicking on the new cells and typing. The formatting of the cell above is automatically applied to the new cell below. Like this:

Italic Bold
Test Test
Plain Plain
Test Test

Is there a way to STOP this from happening? When I create a new row I don't want any formatting copied. My best guess was to try changing the copy/paste settings, but none of them worked. The issue is with the table cells, not the text.
