I have an question regarding clonezilla server edition. We want to restore an image using clonezilla pxe boot, i.e. server edition in an class environment.
we do have a couple of machines (24) with the exact same hardware configuration. the machines do have two hard drives (512GB/2TB). we want to backup all the machines from first drive to the second to be able to restore each individual image very fast. network restore is somehow not working as those machines have a small bandwidth in total (weird wiring). so we want to be able to boot clonezilla using pxe and have the machines to be restore an image from the second hard-drive. it would be nice to have multiple images on the second hard-drive which can be chosen.
somehow, when i fire up clonezilla server edition it will not make me choose to mount an local (client) drive to restore from.
in the end it might work without clonezilla server, just by serving an modified clonezilla via pxe.
does anybody has any suggestions? or had an similar problem?
