Email delivery failure when using google drive API

Question

I have a quick question. I am trying to make my raspberry pi upload data to a spreadsheet, and to do so, I am using the google drive API. However, whenever I try to share the spreadsheet with the client_email that is given to me by the json file created when I make the service key for my project, I get an email from google that the account was not found, and the pi can't upload it's data. I copy paste the email directly from the file to the sheet, so I do not think there is a typo in the email.

Has this happened to any of you? Anybody have any tips or tricks to solve this?
