Booting from Ubuntu 19.04 USB drive - no Installation dialog box, just background image

I want to use Ubuntu 19.04 (x64) as a live system ("Try Out") from a USB flash drive. But when there should be the "Try Out or Install" dialog box on-screen I just get the background image.

It appears that Ubuntu is detecting two different displays since the mouse cursor won't show up until I move it to the right - so I only get the signal from what Ubuntu thinks to be the second screen, although I only use one monitor.

Until I get to this screen, all messages are shown like normal. The signal is only displayed via DVI, there is no video output from all of the other ports of my graphics card (nVidia GTX560 Ti) and both my mainboard and CPU haven't got an IGP.

I've tested it with two monitors, my main monitor with a resolution of 1680x1050 and one with a 1280x1024 resolution. Both only show the second screen. When I'm using the USB boot drive on my Thinkpad W520 and my T61, it works like it should, hence there should be nothing wrong with the boot drive.

Is there some way to move the dialog box to the "second" screen via keyboard shortcuts or a keystroke that can be pressed during the boot procedure? Or do I just miss something?
