How to connect a xbox 360 controler to PC wirelessly

I have an Insigna Bluetooth adapter (USB) for my pc and installed all the drivers that came with it but my controller still will not connect. Am I missing drivers for the 360 controller if so where can I find them?

I'm pretty sure the 360 controllers aren't bluetooth. https://www.howtogeek.com/178881/ask-htg-how-can-i-hook-up-my-xbox-360-controllers-to-my-computer/ With the official Microsoft USB dongle it just connects when I turn the controller on with the middle button.
