OSX Maill application IMAP server disconnection on every email client

A friend of mine asked me to take a look at their MacBook Air (10.14 Mojave) because they have been getting continual IMAP server port timeouts on all of their email services. Well, I did the usual of removing the accounts, manually adding the IMAP/SMTP information, as well as changing the emails' passwords and checking to make sure the emails work fine on other OSX Mail applications. I have had no luck at all.

I followed this on deleting different files in an attempt to reset the application, no luck came out of that either. I finally attempted to reset the application to 'factory settings' following this posting, still no luck.

I don't really know what to do now. Does anybody have some input on something new for me to try? The only other thing I can think of is to have a fresh install of Mojave on the computer.
