Azure static site

Question

Failed to update storage account 'newtech'. Error: The custom domain name could not be verified. CNAME mapping from www.newtech.com to any of newtech.blob.core.windows.net,newtech.z19.web.core.windows.net does not exist.

This is not the actual domain just an example.

I have created the cname and https points to the static website as expected.

The minute I try to allow https via the azure portal I get the above error.

My Steps :

1. I log onto the portal
2. Select the storage acocunt
3. Select configuration
4. I deselect secure transfer required

Then I receive the error.

Any possible ideas?
