Owl Carousel returns to first image upon download of an image

Question

I am trying to fix something I noticed in my image carousel. It is comprised of about 6 images, and you can download a hi-res or low-res version of each image. When you click download on either option, the carousel, no matter which dot is selected (3rd, 4th, 5th, etc), jumps back to the first dot/image. Is this a problem with Owl Carousel itself?

I am new on here, so please let me know how I can be more specific.
