On macOS .dmg files refuse to mount inside /User/me/Downloads but mount without any issues in other directories.
The error message is no mountable file systems.
I'm on 10.14.5 macOS Mojave.
I had tried all the solutions I could find online including opening with hdiutil in a terminal window and nothing worked until I moved the .dmgs to other directories and found they all mounted straight away.
What could be causing this?
