Mount USB to Hyper-V

Question

I have little knowledge on virtual machines, currently we have a server installed with generation 1 hyper-v vm. My superior wanted to extract the data from the vm into a usb flashdrive/external hard drive. The methods I did was:

1. Enhanced session mode but still the mode is greyed out(due to generation 1).
2. Disk management method but offline method is not applicable.

Is there other ways to somehow mount/add USB stick to hyper-v? Will remoting the vm possible using another pc?
