Remove a cached username (with no password associated to it) from Google Chrome

I have a question very similar to this one (How to delete a single cached username from Chrome?), except the solution doesn't apply to my situation.

I had to change usernames for a website I use frequently (it's my company's travel expense website) recently, and Google Chrome keeps showing the old username whenever I navigate to the page.

I managed to delete the individual password record from Chrome's password cache, and when I go to the stored password list in settings, it only shows a record for the new username, but whenever I navigate to the website, it is still auto-filling the old username (and leaves the password field blank). I have no idea how to get rid of it. I don't really want to clear my entire cache, as there are many usernames and password I have saved that I'd like to preserve.

I thought it may be an issue with the username stored in my Google account versus the local instance of the browser, but that's not the case either.

Anyone have any idea how I'd get rid of the stored username?
