Configuring Second Player in Lakka/RetroArch?

0

I have Lakka running on a Raspberry Pi and for single-player everything works great. A Microsoft XBox 360 wireless controller with the dongle plugged in to USB is working.

Recently I purchased a second 360 controller, different brand and with its own dongle. Lakka recognizes and automatically enables the new controller, including a toast notification indicating that it's there as well as the ability to control the Lakka menu functions. However, inside of any emulator core there's no second player.

If I remove the first controller and use only the new one, it's recognized as the first player and works just fine in any game. So it's not that the device itself is unsupported. It seems that the emulator cores simply aren't recognizing that there's a second input device, or I don't know how to enable that device within the game.

Is there perhaps a config setting buried somewhere in retroarch.cfg or retroarch-core-options.cfg (or somewhere else) to enable a second player in the various cores? Some button combination on the second input device to "enter" the game? Something else?
