How do I copy multiple tabs in a sheets workbook to a "master" sheet?

Does anyone know how to code a proper app script function/macro whenever turned on it would transfer data from multiple google sheets into one master sheet, all in the same workbook. I tired functions using the =importrange and =query but I also want to randomize the range and that isn't possible with these functions because they also try to contain the same format of the original spreadsheet. Any solutions? Thank you!
