Technically speaking, what are the plus & minuses choosing a FTTH connection to a SFP-transceiver-equipped modem/router vs an external ONT, in turn connected to a modem/router through Ethernet cable??
I could think of less heating for the external ONT, and router/device independence, while the direct-to-SFP-transceiver connection may be slightly faster and gives you lesser devices to deal with?
