RDGateway Password Reset not following Password Policy

Question

I have implemented password reset page in RDgateway and the password reset page is enabled, however the password policy followed is not that which is setup in security policy. The length of password per security policy is 8 characters however when i reset password from password reset page i get an error that password doesnt meet the requirement and when i use 10 character password it accepts. I have check the GPO is getting update from DC and password policy is also getting reflected in Account Policies | Password Policy. I am not sure what else to check and any guidance here is highly appreciated.
