I have an HP Pavillion and unfortunately it forces me to reset the password every 30 days on the admin account. My brother shares the computer with me and always uses my account (the admin) instead of the one I created for him. He changed the password one day when I was at work and he can't remember it. I am able to access his account, but since it's not the admin account it isn't doing me any good that I know of. Is there anything I can do to recover the admin password??
I tried creating a password reset disk with a USB through his account on the computer, but it won't work to reset the pw on my account. I also tried command prompt from starting the computer in safe mode and it will not allow me to access command prompt without the pw. I'm stumped and pissed because I need this computer. Thanks

1If the PC is that critical to you, stop sharing it, lesson learned. – Moab – 2019-05-15T23:10:36.417
