I want to stop users from deleting or moving folders or files. Whenever I uncheck both "delete" or "delete folders or files" it stops a user from writing to the document even though all Write boxes are checked. I've researched online but don't really find anything that gets me my desired results.
Id like to set these permissions at the top level and inherit them to all subfolders and files. And then grant access to those few who need to move and delete.
This is really confusing me. I know Ive set these exact perms before somewhere.
1This doesn't actually answer your question, so adding as a comment. Bear in mind that a user who is able to write to a file will be able to delete all of its contents, even if the file itself is still present. – Tom Revell – 2019-05-09T15:45:50.683
