Monitoring connection state on Azure IoT hub devices

0

I have a situation where I have a number of IoT devices that I would like to monitor the connectivity state of. I would appreciate if this worked in an automated fashion, so that I don't need to go check the state of my devices manually. I have previously worked with non-Azure systems that were set up to send heartbeats every 15 seconds or so, and then on a daily basis a monitoring tool sent an alert email with a list of the devices that had not sent heartbeats during the last few hours. I find it hard to imagine something similar is not possible directly in Azure, but the closest I have been yet is to have Azure monitor the total number of connected devices and send an email if the number drops below a threshold (classic alert, which will be discontinued soon). But this is a little too unspecific, as I then need to check up myself which device is offline. In short: Is there a place in Azure, where I can choose to have en email alert for each of my IoT devices, should they become offline?
