How do I control the back-light while running in multi-user mode and not in graphical mode? I have nVidia graphics card. Did some searching. Didn't find anything that would work. Using Fedora 29 64 bit on a laptop with AMD CPU.

ls /sys/class/backlight -la
drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 0 Apr 29 17:14 .
drwxr-xr-x. 62 root root 0 Apr 29 15:30 ..
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 0 Apr 29 17:14 acpi_video0 -> ../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0b.0/0000:02:00.0/backlight/acpi_video0
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 0 Apr 29 17:14 nv_backlight -> ../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0b.0/0000:02:00.0/drm/card0/card0-LVDS-1/nv_backlight

2What OS? What console application? Please use the EDIT button to add this necessary information to the question itself. – music2myear – 2019-04-29T22:36:15.763
