How to move a OneNote Notebook from OneDrive to SharePoint while preserving links to Notebook content?

Question

My company has some shared OneNote Notebooks, currently stored on OneDrive, that we need to move to SharePoint. To minimize disruption, we'd like to arrange it so that any existing links to paragraphs, pages, and sections in the current Notebooks will still work after the move.

Here's what I've tested that hasn't worked:

• Use OneNote's built in "Change location" feature (see screenshot attached)
• Create new Notebook and move content section by section (which is Microsoft's recommended method for moving a shared Notebook)

I'm stumped. This seems technically impossible, but if we can find a way to do it, it would create a lot less of a headache for us and our hundreds of users who rely on these shared Notebooks.
