I have been experiencing issues with the playback of videos when connecting various Macbooks to external TV displays. The video stutters every few seconds. The stutter is very noticeable, and sometimes hangs for a significant amount of time. Audio playback is fine. This issue only occurs with OS X devices, and have not experienced with Windows devices.
The devices are connected using HDMI adapters to the TVs. No other heavy programs are running in the background. The desktop is extended to the external display.
Are there any known remedies for stuttering video playback issues to external television displays when using Macbooks?
