I'm looking for a reliable way to send links to files on the company's shared drive, but it appears impossible to create a link that will open local files from a browser.
My recipients use either the Outlook application or access Outlook from their browser, and I'd like to use a method that works regardless of where they're coming from.
Outlook online strips the links from my emails when I send to myself, but I've sent the same link to others using the application and it appears as expected to them.
Any suggestions?

I tested to share a file from my OneDrive and the link works whether I'm using Outlook desktop client or web mail. Does this issue only happen to your account? Or, happen to specific shared file？ – Perry – 2019-04-22T05:17:56.337
